Gregorian Chant（格里高里颂歌）出现约在公元十世纪左右，作为西方早期的系统化宗教音乐类型，它对整个西方音乐体系有着深远的影响。Gregorian Chant以极简单、极低沉的管风琴为背景（或完全无背景音乐），压抑的男声如潮水般连绵起伏，时而徘徊于幽沉的低音部，时而又突然攀升至难以想像的高音区，音域跨度之大和对人声要求之高，是其他Early Music所不能比拟的。
前“Enigma谜”团员、“Time To Say Goodbye”作者兼制作人Frank Peterson所精心筹画的“Gregorian教皇合唱团”，集结12位来自英国各地的葛利果权威男声，一同用传承600年的古典美声，诠释了20世纪脍炙人口的西洋流行歌曲。
