Dear Badminton Denmark,
I wish to file a formal complaint concerning the officiating by Ms. Lizzy James in the match between Weng and Luo on 10/15/2025 (third set). I believe there were two main issues of unfairness: - Obstruction / misjudged fault at 12-17 (third set):
At that point in the match, Luo’s racket went over the net in a way that I believe constituted an obstruction of Weng, yet no fault / let was called. I contend this was misjudged and disadvantaged Weng.
- Court conditions / refusal to mop:
On multiple occasions in the match, Weng requested to have the court mopped, presumably due to slipping / moisture concerns, but these requests were denied. This may have affected Weng’s performance or safety.
I believe both of these are contrary to the Laws of Badminton / BWF regulations, which ensure fair conditions and impartial application of rules. I have the following evidence / witnesses - Video footage from BWF broadcasting video.
I respectfully request that the officiating and decisions be reviewed, that Ms. Lizzy James’ performance in this match be examined, and if appropriate, that remedial action is taken. If possible, I would like to receive a response confirming receipt of this complaint and information on the next steps / timeline. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Your name A badminton player in XXXX area.
